Senior Business Analyst

The Business Analyst assists in obtaining, reconciling, analyzing, and reporting on client data, and providing data populations adhering to technical specifications to the Service Delivery teams within a specified time frame.

Duties and Responsibilities, as they Align to Ryan's Key Results

People:

  • Create a positive team experience.

Client:

  • Clients are not limited to external but proactively work status update US/India liaison.
  • Responds to client inquiries and requests from tax authorities.
  • Assists in the acquisition, extraction, and transfer of client data.
  • Travels to client sites to assist in data extraction tool installation and testing, assist in performing client data extractions, and performs configuration of Ryan's invoice image extraction tool and testing, as required by projects.

Value:

  • Follows all applicable security policies regarding client's data and documentation.
  • Assists in reconciling and analyzing client data and performs reconciliation of client data using Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Server, and other tools.
  • Assists in the preparation of the final documentation of the data project.
  • Assists with the installation of custom data extraction tools.
  • Develops limited custom programming for Ryan's invoice image extraction tool.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Any bachelor's degree, Information Systems, or Computer Science will be highly regarded.

Skills:

To excel in this role, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet. The Consultant should have basic knowledge of a database technology platform such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, etc. Business system applications experience such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, etc., and familiarity with Structured Query Language (SQL) and/or Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) is desired.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not involve any supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

  • Standard indoor working environment.
  • Occasional long periods of sitting while working at a computer.
  • Position requires regular interaction with employees and clients both in person and via email and telephone.
  • Independent travel requirement: less than 25%.
  • Standard full-time workweek requirement.
