We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role Manager, ESG Reporting
Principal Responsibilities
Work closely with Group Regulatory Policy to understand and interpret ESG disclosure requirements; Build effective relationships with other relevant reporting cycle stakeholders as needed ( Strategy, Sustainability, Risk, Investor Relations); Act as a point of contact coordinating external auditor assurance reviews over ESG disclosures; Support ESG Senior Manager with reporting to the Group Audit and Risk Committees on ESG disclosure matters and other governance forums Maintain awareness of industry and regulatory developments that might impact the Group ESG disclosures and make recommendations on how HSBC can best meet changing disclosure requirements. Support the project and operational management of certain ESG reporting deliverables and processes, including maintenance of process and assurance documentation. Assess the operational risks associated with the role, taking account of changing market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, changes in the bank's management structure and the impact of new technology. RequirementsWhat you will need to succeed in the role:
Minimum 5 years' experience within Finance at a major institution, ideally with experience of managing new reporting requirements. Commercial outlook – able to connect numbers, performance drivers and 'real world' events. Deep knowledge of HSBC's business strategy, operations and structure. Highly-motivated, diligent, collaborative, personable and capable of working independently and exercising judgment. Project management skills, including creating lean processes and governance structures. Quantitative degree, ideally with professional education in Finance (Qualified Accountant). Strong skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Fluent English (written and spoken).You'll achieve more at HSBC
