  • KKR entered into an agreement to purchase the end-user computing business from Broadcom in early 2024.

What is the primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?

We are always working to improve our Saa S service and stay current with the latest technologies and trends.
Currently, we are re-architecting our private data centers and transitioning significant parts of our service to AWS.
We have projects focused on security, cost optimizations, improving observability and automating response to alerts.
In the spirit of continuous learning, the journey never stops.
We are always reviewing and adopting new technologies and techniques to improve our service offering.

Success in the Role:
What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
Even as you onboard, you begin contributing in small ways and start helping the team.

You're contributing code and ideas almost immediately, developing relationships with team members, discussing problems and possible solutions, and learning about our operation.

You quickly establish a reputation for leadership within a team and demonstrate influence within your areas of expertise.
You are known for going above and beyond.
You collaborate well across the global team.
After 2-3 months on the job, you're ready to lead technical projects.

At the same time, you're contributing to the discussion about "what" we should be doing - not just "how" we do it.

You continue to grow and develop your expertise and understanding of our service and customers.
After 6-9 months on the job you're regarded across the BU as a highly-valued senior Dev Ops engineer.
You will be contributing towards incident response process, and work towards improving stability and reliability of the systems.

You will embody automation first mindset and will act as a guiding force across Dev Ops/SRE and engineering teams to achieve 100% automation goal.

You will adopt and evangelize mindset of full stack observability, implement monitoring, logging, and tracing functions across all Dev Ops/SRE functions to provide a system where production incidents are prevented by detecting and fixing things before it each production systems.

What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
Writing Terraform code to provision and manage the infrastructure.
Writing Python/Power Shell code for process automation
Providing thoughtful code reviews for other members of the team
Work with the Dev team and product management to review and refine production readiness requirements
Participating in design and architecture reviews

Periodically covering on-call rotations and then helping to take the experience and learnings from those rotations and develop further improvements to our code and infrastructure.

Deploying microservices to Kubernetes clusters using Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) systems
Train and mentor junior engineers by providing technical guidance and direction.
Take initiatives and identify new areas of improvement for products, tools, and process.
Championing a culture of high ownership, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence

Bangalore
What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?

This role reports to the Senior Manager of Engineering.
The global team consists of approximately 65 people with 15 based in Bangalore.
The expectation is to grow the Bangalore team considerably over time.

We are a close-knit group of senior engineers with deep experience delivering our UEM solution as a cloud service to the world's largest companies.

We work closely with our counterparts in the US to drive key platform improvements that focus on security, service availability, resiliency, and cost reduction.
