About the role


As a member of the Platform Engineering team, the Senior DevOps Engineer will enable the engineering teams to scale our infrastructure, platform and internal developer tooling of multiple global digital products being developed within Carrier Digital.

This role will work on a range of software products critical to Carrier's continued business growth.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be designing and supporting a team of DevOps Engineers in the implementation of modern software delivery systems.

As a Senior Engineer-DevOPs, you'll be responsible for:


Technical expert who helps accelerate the adoption of the best engineering practices, while maintaining knowledge on industry innovations, trends, and practices.

Requirements


We are looking for people who areWork with DevOps Architects to design scalable, reliable, performant, and efficient software delivery systems.

Help engineers on the operational challenges related to scalability, reliability, performance, and efficiency of our software delivery systems.
Help the team and other engineering leaders to continuously improve our operating processes.
Ensure we run a cost-effective service, monitor, and make changes to hit spending targets.
Implement DevOps architectures and standards based on the goals and requirements set forth by leadership.


Required ExperienceAt least 3-5 years of professional experience in Software DeliveryAt least 2 years of experience programming in JavaScript, TypeScript, , or PythonAt least 2 years of experience creating and maintaining CI/CD tooling.

At least 2 years of experience with traditional IT infrastructure managementAt least 2 years of experience delivering cloud native software.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Additional SkillsDomain expertise delivering cloud native solutions.
Deep expertise in –

DevOps theory and best practicesFully automated software deliveryServerless and cloud native software delivery

High level understanding of –

Application TestingApplication MonitoringFull Stack Serverless Web Application DeliveryAWS Management, Security, Scalability, Reliability, Cost Optimization


Education and CertificationsAWS Certified DevOps Engineer – ProfessionalAWS Certified Security – SpecialtyAWS Certified Solutions Architect – ProfessionalMultiple IAC Methods, such as CDK, CloudFormation, Serverless Framework, SAM, TerraformHands on experience delivering cloud native software using modern DevOps practices.

Familiarity with Application Security concepts such as OWASP, CVE, SAST
