Primary position Objectives

To ensure that new projects are thoroughly investigated, prepare & review financial models and investment proposals for approval from the Board of Directors/Financial Inst., coordinate with the teams at different offices/business units, etc. anchor the preparation of bidding documents, and investment proposals.

Evaluate and anchor investment/expansion opportunities from conceptualization to implementation stage: Undertake site visits, and interactions with users/customers, prepare travel reports, and provide recommendations on business opportunities Undertake feasibility assessment – review, preparation & presentation of feasibility studies on prospective investments; analyze project parameters, investment climate, and potential benefits accruing to the organization, Collect and review relevant data as required for financial modeling and prepare a business case, competitive environment, strategic benefits, synergy, and project returns - IRRs/ NPV, ROCE, etc. Prepare/update investment papers for the proposed investment for the Board / Investment Committee from time to time Coordinate with internal teams including Business Units / SMEs to for assessment of investment opportunities and to address queries raised / clarifications related to potential investment papers submitted and provide the clarifications on the same. Anchor contract/bid preparation – in case of projects that are tendered out by . Government authorities the scope also includes preparation of applications in response to the Request for Qualification and the Request for Proposal and assessment of bid documents including concession agreements. Participate as a team member in negotiations with stakeholders including local government, port authorities, and prospective partners. Preparing terms of reference (including other documents) and coordinating due diligence as appropriate in respective areas like operations, finance, legal, environmental, etc. Interaction and coordination with solicitors, tax advisors, etc on matters related to new opportunities Preparation of project implementation calendar or Gantt charts capturing all implementation requirements. Coordinate completion of activities with the relevant managers responsible. Support in preparing and execution of preliminary documents . memorandum of the undertaking, non-disclosure agreements, etc, participating in contract negotiations and preparation of definitive documents . shareholders agreement, seeking a professional opinion on tax and legal matters, structuring of investments in the project, etc Support in Project Finance including dealing with arrangers, lenders, etc including loan documentation. Maintain a volume and market database for terminals in the region. Contribute to the development of Budgets for new opportunities and other strategic initiatives of the company

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

Qualification –

Engineer or Chartered Accountant or Post Graduate 10-15 Years of experience in logistics infrastructure investments/project appraisal Understanding of PPP projects (including tender process), logistics infrastructure including Port, Rail, ICD/PFT, and its operations is essential Experience in Bulk, 3PL/CL, and Express Logistics is added advantage Ability to identify potential business opportunities Understanding of Legal documents – PPP Concession Agreement, Freight Policies of Indian Railways, Logistics Policies, etc Good communication and interpersonal skills.
