APAC Injectables Account Manager, Pharmaceuticals

Ashland has an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager – Pharmaceuticals Injectables Applications to join our APAC Pharmaceuticals Sales Team. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Sales function. This position will report to APAC BD Director, Life Sciences.

Ashland has a comprehensive line of products for parenteral, controlled release drug delivery. This Pharma Injectables market space is growing rapidly, and we want a salesperson to drive Ashland's commercial growth and market leadership in this space.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assuming account responsibility for the Injectables portion of Pharmaceutical accounts in the territory. These accounts and target accounts include Branded Pharma, Generic Pharma and CDMO companies in this space.
  • Promoting and selling the Ashland range of Pharmaceutical parenteral, controlled release drug delivery excipients to Formulation Development contacts
  • The current Ashland range of products is ViatelTM bioresorbable polymers, CavitronTM hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin (HβCD), AqualonTM CMC PH BET Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose and PharmasolveTM NMP.
  • Capability to promote and sell any future Injectables Product Line extensions
  • Prospecting / hunting for new business opportunities including identifying and converting share shift opportunities in the Injectables space
  • Attending trade shows and conferences
  • Possibly conducting customer webinars on Ashland product line in the Injectables space
  • Away travel between 30% to 40%
  • Developing a robust opportunity pipeline

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • Preferably M.Pharm and PhD will be an added advantage
  • A minimum of 10 years of successful technical selling experience in pharmaceutical excipients for the Injectables application space.
  • Already established with a network of industry contacts
  • Strong oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to prospect and network at the accounts to establish new growth opportunities.
  • The ability to relate to all levels in an organization.
