As a Virtual Chief Information SecurityOfficer (vCISO), you will lead and manage the security operationsfunction of

organization. The role involves overseeing various aspectsof security, disaster recovery, security finance management,documentation, compliance, and programonboarding.

vCISO isexpected to possess a diverse skill set encompassing technical,business, communication, and leadership expertise.

Responsibilities:

Security Operations:


• Leadvulnerability risk assessments.


•Implement cyber security frameworks, including NIST800-53, ISO


•Provide oversight on incident responseplanning.


• Create andmaintain security policies and procedures.


• Serve as an advisor for Governance, Risk, andCompliance.


• Provide leadership inperforming regulatory assessments.


•Coordinate Disaster Recovery processes andprocedures .

DisasterRecovery:


• Develop and implementDisaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan policies.


• Identify and prioritize key assets for theplan.


• Schedule and plan periodicexercises of the plan.


• Managedisaster recovery exercises and provide feedback tostakeholders.


• Document the DisasterRecovery and Business Continuity Plans.


• Provide a strategic plan for backup of criticalassets and systems.

Security FinanceManagement:


• Conduct asset managementreviews.


• Quantify the overall valueof security initiatives.


• Assess thecost of security tools or systems and analyze the return oninvestment.

Documentation:


• Establish a detailed documentation standard andreview process.


• Contribute to thedevelopment and documentation of key cyber securitypolicies.


• Maintain a standardapproval process for policy reviews.

Compliance:


• Provideleadership and guidance on the implementation of regulatorycompliance objectives.


• Conductinternal assessments and respond to external compliancereviews.


• Stay current on regulatorycompliance updates related to the organization.


• Address standards such as SOC,PCI, HIPAA, GDPR, or FedRAMP.

Program Onboarding:


• Ensure third-party systems meet securitystandards and align with business objectives.


• Maintain a risk assessment standard for newsystems, including penetration testing or vulnerabilityscans.
