The Product Manager at Giant Eagle's Customer Experience division plays a crucial role in translating a customer-centric vision into a concrete product roadmap for implementation. Collaborating cross-functionally to address key issues throughout the customer journey, the product manager strives to create a cohesive and delightful experience. With a focus on digital strategy and product development, the ideal candidate will bring a proactive mindset, innovative problem-solving skills, and a strong sense of empathy.   • Previous experience in retail or e-commerce product management or business consulting
  • Previous experience in Web/Mobile products
  • Previous experience with analytical tools like Google Analytics or Amplitude
  • Previous experience in B2C businesses
  • Previous experience in agile & lean product development environments
  • Previous experience with Atlassian suite of products

Reports To

Senior Product Manager, Digital Strategy and Product

Education

Bachelor's degree (preferably in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field). MBA or advanced degree preferred

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Manage a specific product portfolio, including building, managing, and refining product backlog to support business and customer needs
  • Define and communicate product strategy, charter, and OKRs for the portfolio
  • Review proposed solutions and customer feedback to ensure product requirements meet present needs and accommodate future priorities
  • Coordinate the implementation of digital strategy and significant product initiatives across various functions and business units
  • Play a key role in introducing, launching, and expanding customer-facing solutions
  • Identify interdependencies and gaps in requirements, addressing them through analysis and proactive requirement development
  • Collaborate across a matrixed organization to facilitate initiative development and execution
  • Ensure transparency regarding initiative timelines and quality, and manage requirements within budget and schedule
  • Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate risks associated with initiatives
  • Champion the product internally and externally, articulating its value to internal teams, customers, and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to deliver a user-friendly experience aligned with user expectations
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking, effective communication, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of the market and product
