JOB DESCRIPTIONTitles:
Application Support Specialist IIILocation: IndiaProvides extensive Application support, investigation, and daily monitoring of software and services. Ensure maximum uptime of Applications and minimum impact to business. Performs extensive troubleshooting of on-premise software, SAAS, access permissions and authentication. Communicates effectively and timely with support from vendors, peers, and supervisors.
ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAbility to follow procedures and processes as written with no varianceAbility to identify and troubleshoot issues related to on premise and cloud-based applications and services in a timely manner.
Monitor systems to optimize performance and uptime to assist with meeting service levelsProvide documentation and logs to Governance team to ensure compliancePerform extensive troubleshooting and problem solving, independently as well as with the help of other support resources with least impact to business performance.
Be available for providing after-hours/weekend/holiday production support when called upon.May provide on-call support when requiredSuggest ideas, take lead on projects, and provide technical solutions to new issuesTake lead on critical issues and escalate to concerning teams if requiredHelp lead more complex projects or tasksRequired to learn and use good time management skills to complete assigned tasks.
Work with senior team members and vendors to ensure stakeholders are informed and provided timely updates and resolutionsAssist with compliance of systems through existing standards and procedures.
Identify gaps in compliance and remediate in a timely mannerAbility to learn new applications and services quickly. Understand how applications and services can be integrated to work togetherPresent the ability to work on multiple priorities. Seek guidance where applicable to help prioritize multiple priorities. Ability to take and follow directionAbility to effectively communicate both verbal and written technical and non-technical communication.Uses good business judgment and communications to keep IS Management informedA positive attitude, good teamwork, professionalism & interpersonal skills, proactively seeking solutions, taking initiative where necessary.
Establishes and maintains effective relationships with business associatesSKILLS & CERTIFICATIONSPossess strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Exchange on premiseAbility to automate tasks through scripting or use of APIsAbility to troubleshoot email delivery issues through telnetBasic administration of endpoints in Microsoft IntuneAbility to manage DNS records for Mouser email domainsCreate and modify email routing rules in Proofpoint and exchange onlineUnderstanding of business and department processes and how to translate into CherwellCreate, publish, and maintain relevant support documentation to assist all staff in the quick resolution of their incidents/service requests and enable users to become more self-sufficientAbility to patch Windows and Linux servers and operating systemsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBachelor's Degree in Computer Science/ E&C with equivalent Technical certifications along with 4 to 8 Years of ExperienceHighly skilled as an Application or Email AdministratorCategory: IT/IS
