Head of Maintenance

Maintenance Head Location – Rajasthan Experience required: 20+ Years Qualification: B.Tech (Mechanical) Industry : Chemical Manufacturing Key Tasks & Responsibilities: Production Oversight: Supervise and manage the daily operations of the manufacturing process to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity. Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring adherence to timelines and cost targets. Monitor and optimize production processes, ensuring the highest product quality and minimal downtime. Ensure that all production processes comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines. Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production supervisors, operators, and other staff. Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching for performance improvement. Ensure adequate training and skill development programs for production staff. Quality Control & Assurance: Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that all products meet specified quality standards and customer requirements. Implement corrective actions when deviations from quality standards are observed. Safety and Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols and environmental regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and ensure that safety training is conducted for all staff. Investigate any safety incidents or accidents and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks. Cost Management: Monitor and control production costs to maintain efficiency while ensuring product quality. Implement measures to reduce waste, optimize energy consumption, and improve operational cost efficiency. Ensure the effective use of resources (materials, labor, equipment) to maximize production output while minimizing cost. Maintenance and Equipment Management: Ensure that plant equipment and machinery are well-maintained and operating at peak performance. Coordinate with the maintenance department to schedule regular preventive maintenance and unplanned repairs. Assess and recommend equipment upgrades or replacements as necessary. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement, automation, and lean manufacturing practices. Lead or participate in root cause analysis of production issues and develop corrective action plans. Implement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, reducing waste, and improving overall plant performance. Reporting & Communication: Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including key metrics like output, efficiency, downtime, and quality. Communicate effectively with senior management, reporting on any critical issues or potential disruptions in the production process. Liaise with other departments (logistics, procurement, etc.) to ensure smooth operations across the plant. Skills: Technical Skills: Strong understanding of chemical production processes, plant safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. Leadership: Proven track record of leading large, diverse teams, and driving change and operational improvements. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse and interpret operational data and financial reports. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization, from front-line employees to executive leadership.
