Job Summary:
We are seeking a technically competent and site-experienced Installation Supervisor to oversee the on-site execution of Automated Car Parking Systems (such as stack, puzzle, and tower systems). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing subcontractors, supervising daily installation activities, ensuring safety and quality, and coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise installation and commissioning activities for parking systems across designated project sites.
Manage subcontractors on-site: assign work, monitor performance, ensure productivity, and resolve operational issues.
Verify site readiness as per layout and ensure compliance with approved designs and civil interface requirements.
Coordinate with internal teams (Design, Production, Logistics) to track material delivery and address technical issues.
Oversee erection, mechanical assembly, alignment, wiring, and calibration of system components (motors, sensors, hydraulic units).
Conduct regular quality checks, ensure adherence to safety standards, and enforce PPE and work permit norms.
Maintain detailed records including daily work progress, contractor deployment, snag lists, and inspection reports.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project managers for site reviews, inspections, and handovers.
Support testing, commissioning, and basic training of client representatives post-installation.
Ensure proper utilization of manpower and equipment and prevent time/cost overruns.
Raise requirements for tools, consumables, and manpower based on project demands.
Skills and Qualifications:
Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
6+ years of hands-on experience in installation or erection of elevators, parking systems, or large electro-mechanical equipment.
Proven experience in handling subcontractor teams and managing labor productivity.
Strong knowledge of mechanical drawings, assembly techniques, and electrical interfaces.
Understanding of safety practices, site risk management, and quality assurance.
Good communication and reporting skills.
Willing to travel and work on multiple sites as per project needs.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience with mechanical car parking systems is highly desirable.
Ability to work under tight timelines and resolve field-level technical challenges.
Strong leadership skills to manage diverse subcontractor teams.
