Assistant Manager Tax

We are looking for an experienced Senior Tax Specialist to manage all tax-related matters for our Indian operations. This role is critical in ensuring full compliance with Indian tax regulations while supporting the broader tax strategy of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all aspects of direct and indirect taxation in India, including GST, TDS, income tax, and transfer pricing compliance.
  • Oversee, prepare and file periodic tax returns and ensure timely payments.
  • Design and implement local tax processes and a robust tax compliance management system.
  • Act as the primary liaison with external tax consultants, auditors, and local authorities.
  • Monitor changes in Indian tax laws and provide strategic advice to senior management.
  • Manage internal and external audits, including statutory and tax audits.
  • Drive tax planning and risk management initiatives for the Indian entity.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting for all tax-related matters.
  • Contribute to quarterly and annual closing according to IFRS with respect to current and deferred tax calculations, as well as other tax-related internal and external reporting obligations
  • Maintain communication with the parent company in Germany as the tax contact for the India subsidiary

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or similar qualification preferred.
  • 8–12 years of relevant experience in Indian tax compliance and advisory.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian tax laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Experience working in a multinational environment is a plus.
