Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced L2 Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network infrastructure design, implementation, and troubleshooting.

You will be responsible for providing expert-level support for network-related issues, ensuring optimal network performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement network projects. This role requires a deep understanding of network protocols, technologies, and security best practices.

Responsibilities :

Network Infrastructure Design and Implementation :

- Design, configure, and deploy network infrastructure solutions, including LAN, WAN, and WLAN.

- Implement and manage network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points.

- Plan and execute network upgrades and expansions.

Level 2 Support and Troubleshooting :

- Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution of complex network issues and incidents.

- Analyze network performance data to identify and resolve bottlenecks and performance issues.

- Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively identify and address potential problems.

- Manage and resolve escalated network tickets within defined SLAs.

Network Maintenance and Optimization :

- Perform routine network maintenance activities, including software upgrades, patch management, and configuration backups.

- Optimize network performance through traffic analysis, QoS implementation, and network tuning.

- Ensure network documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

Network Security :

- Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.

- Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments.

- Respond to security incidents and implement remediation measures.

Collaboration and Documentation :

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, security engineers, and application developers, to implement network projects.

- Develop and maintain detailed network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.

- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior network engineers.

Technical Skills :

Networking Protocols and Technologies :

- Proficiency in TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), and switching protocols (STP, RSTP, MSTP).

- Experience with WAN technologies (MPLS, VPN, SD-WAN).

- Knowledge of wireless networking standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax).

Network Devices :

- Extensive experience configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, etc.), and load balancers (F5, Citrix).

- Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios).

Operating Systems :

- Familiarity with network operating systems (Cisco IOS, Juniper Junos, etc.

- Experience with Linux or Windows server networking is a plus.

Cloud Networking (Preferred) :

- Basic to intermediate knowledge of cloud networking concepts (AWS VPC, Azure VNet, Google Cloud VPC).

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer.

- Relevant certifications (e., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIP) are highly desirable.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
