Role Description

We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist with 5+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, working the night shift from 1 PM IST to 10 PM IST.. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of manual and automated testing methodologies, test planning, and bug tracking. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure our software products meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and mobile applications.
• Perform manual and automated testing to ensure the software meets functional and performance requirements.
• Identify, log, and track defects using bug tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, Trello, etc.).
• Work with developers to debug issues and ensure prompt resolution.
• Implement and maintain automation testing frameworks using Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG, or similar tools.
• Conduct performance testing, security testing, and API testing to enhance product stability.
• Ensure adherence to QA best practices, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve software development processes and quality standards.
• Stay updated with the latest QA trends, tools, and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, and automation.
• Strong knowledge of manual testing techniques and experience in functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Hands-on experience with automation testing tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.).
• Proficiency in test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, etc.).
• Strong understanding of API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI.
• Experience in performance testing using JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, or Bash) for test automation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Academic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Master's degree (optional, preferred for senior roles) in a relevant discipline.
• Relevant certifications are a plus, such as:
• ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board)
• CSTE (Certified Software Test Engineer)
• CSQA (Certified Software Quality Analyst)
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (for cloud testing)
