Demand Planning and Sales

The objective is to oversee demand planning and sales & operations planning process, which aims to align sales forecasts with production and inventory plans to efficiently meet demand. The incumbent will play crucial role in maintaining a well- functioning supply chain and meeting customer demands while optimizing inventory levels and operational costs.
Main Responsibilities
- Identifying demand patterns using statistical methods/ AIML based tools and adjusting forecasts to accommodate seasonality, promotions, or market events- Leading and coordinating the S&OP process- Collaborating with sales, marketing, manufacturing, R&D and finance teams to gather relevant data and insights- Monitoring and evaluating key performance indicators (KPIs) related to S&OP, such as forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and customer service levels- Analyzing and presenting data to support decision-making during S&OP milestones- Ensuring that sales forecasts and production plans are aligned to avoid overstocking or stock outs- Identifying potential supply chain bottlenecks and proposing solutions to improve overall efficiency- Supporting new product launches and phasing out products based on demand trends- Driving initiatives to facilitate SLOB inventory liquidation and build processes to minimize generation- Collaborating with the finance team to ensure that the S&OP plans align with financial objectives and budget constraints.- Continuously improving the S&OP process to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Skills & Knowledge Requirements
Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, Power BI Proven experience in demand planning/ S&OP coordination
Exposure to demand planning software, AIML based tools
Skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex information clearly to various stakeholders- Strategic thinking and the ability to link operational planning with overall business strategy- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines- Ability to guide cross-functional teams and influence decision-making processes
Qualifications
MBA (SCM/ Ops) from Reputed College
