Job Description

Strategic Procurement: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.Take lead in sourcing of Motor, Controller and Transmission components in India.Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.Lead negotiations for major contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms.Leverage data analytics and procurement software to optimize sourcing decisions. Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.Conduct regular performance reviews and audits to ensure compliance with company standards.Address and resolve any supplier-related issues promptly and effectively.Implement supplier risk management and contingency planning. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.Set clear performance objectives and provide regular feedback and coaching.Promote the use of advanced procurement technologies and best practices. Cost Management: Monitor and manage the procurement budget, ensuring cost-effective purchasing practices.Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the supply chain.Utilize cost modeling and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis to drive procurement decisions. Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential disruptions in the supply chain.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.Establish robust quality control processes and supplier quality assurance programs. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of procurement activities with overall operations.Support new product development initiatives by sourcing new materials and suppliers as required.Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to drive innovation and efficiency.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Engineering. A master's degree or professional certification (, CPSM, CSCP) is preferred. Minimum of 15+ years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the automotive or electric vehicle component industry, power electronics or electronic mobility. In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain management, and contract negotiation. Proficiency in procurement software and tools (, SAP Ariba, Oracle Procurement Cloud). Experience with advanced procurement methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma and Just-In-Time (JIT) inventory systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on strategic thinking and long-term planning. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to electric vehicle components.
