About us:

Position (ROLE): Manufacturing cost accountant

Location: Sari, Ahmedabad

Business Area / Department:  Finance and Accounts

Educational qualifications: CA/CMA

Experience: 8 -15 years of experience in costing & accounting

Key responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining cost accounting systems in ERP environment to support decision-making and cost management.
  • Analysing and tracking production and project costs, including raw material, labour, and overhead expenses.
  • Product costing and pricing.
  • Manage site payables and drive monthly/annual closing activities.
  • Assisting in the budgeting and forecasting process by preparing cost and revenue projections.
  • Performing variance analysis to identify trends and potential issues.
  • Monitoring and reconciling inventory levels to ensure accuracy.
  • Collaborating with other departments, such as purchasing, engineering, and production, to obtain data and resolve issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Providing management with financial reports and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Continuously improving processes and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Linking financial performance to BU KPIs and giving periodic analysis
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, manufacturing processes, and cost accounting techniques.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate cost audit for the group

Skills required:

  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting techniques, accounting standards, and manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency in ERP systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
