Role Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. The ESG Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the company’s ESG strategy, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and driving sustainability integration across business functions. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills, along with prior experience in ESG within the financial services or investment domain. Key Responsibilities ESG Strategy & Framework Develop and execute the organization’s ESG strategy aligned with corporate goals and industry best practices. Integrate ESG principles into business processes, investment decisions, and risk management frameworks. Identify key ESG risks and opportunities relevant to the company’s operations and portfolio. ESG Reporting & Compliance Oversee ESG data collection, validation, and reporting across functions. Ensure compliance with local and international ESG disclosure standards (e.g., SEBI BRSR, GRI, SASB, TCFD). Prepare and publish periodic ESG reports, sustainability disclosures, and stakeholder updates. Support investor and regulator queries on ESG performance and reporting. Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with internal teams, portfolio companies, and external partners to implement ESG initiatives. Engage with investors, rating agencies, and auditors on ESG-related assessments and certifications. Drive awareness and training programs to build ESG capabilities across the organization. Performance Monitoring & Improvement Develop KPIs to measure ESG performance and track progress against sustainability targets. Benchmark ESG practices against peers and recommend continuous improvement measures. Support due diligence and integration of ESG considerations in investment and lending decisions. Candidate Profile Education: Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Finance, Economics, or related field. Experience: 5–8 years of relevant experience in ESG strategy, reporting, and compliance. Sector Preference: Experience in investment management, financial services, or related sectors preferred. Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, disclosure standards, and sustainability regulations. Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence senior stakeholders.
