• Work experience in projects funded by Multilateral Developmental banks

(MDBs) such as IFC, ADB, AIIB, NDB, etc.

• Practical implementation knowledge of E&S international standards like IFC

performance standards,

• ADB environment safeguards and social policies, AIIB ESF, NDB ESF and other

such E&S standards.

• Knowledge of EHSS systems along with statutory requirements
• Preferable prior exposure in working with Private Equity, Financial

intermediary and their Portfolio assets

• Exposure to Impact measurement
• Excellent communication and Presentation skills
• Good Computer skills word & Excel
• Report writing & preparation of MIS etc.

Part II Roles, Responsibilities, Authorities & Accountabilities

Roles and

Responsibilities

• Work on Impact and sustainability reports
• Support in the overall implementation of ESG policy and procedures at the

Fund (SIHF) level

• Assist in the implementation of SIHF ESG policy at portfolio company level
• Work closely with investment team, Investors and portfolio companies (PCs)

in E&S risk management, reporting and improvements.

• Provide inputs to the investment committee on the potential investments

considered by the SIHF

• Drive different E&S aspects along the investment cycle: i.e. pre-investment

due diligence, framing of Action plans, undertaking portfolio audits,

supplementary studies, performance monitoring, periodic reporting and

incident reporting among others as identified.

• Prepare annual environment performance report and submit to the investors

• Management and Coordination of 3rd party E&S expert agencies engaged by

the SIHF for various services and ensuring timely high-quality delivery to the

management team some of the activities include request for proposal,

drafting ToR and scope of work for hiring the E&S experts etc.

• Undertaking site visits to potential and portfolio companies.
• Sharing ESIA/ESDD/E&S performance/ E&S Incident reports with

management and investment team of the fund; as well as investors in desired

formats and templates; addressing their comments as per agreed timelines.

Drafting of action plans and tracking their closure.

• Organizing internal external E&S trainings; and writing of internal papers and

disclosure reports.

• Attending calls and actioning on the points discussed by noting down the

minutes and tracking of action items.

• Impact Framework Implementation: Ensure the integrity and implementation

of clients Impact Framework, as approved by the board.

Accountability
• Upholding the fund level ESMS that is agreed with the investors and approved

by the board and driving its implementation in its desired shape and form.

• Understanding and addressal of all the E&S covenants imposed by investors

and delegation of required covenants to the portfolio company level.

• Completion of all E&S activities as per agreed timelines including quarterly

and annual ESG reports for investors

• Ensuring Quality of Deliverables prepared internally or through 3rd Parties
• Addressing investors comments on E&S and satisfy the investors

requirements

• Timely Gap analysis & closure planning while keeping the investment team in

loop

• Formal adoption of ESMS for Fund 3
• Compliance with ESAP across the Fund 2 and Fund 3 portfolio companies
• Implementation of ESMS in Fund 3 portfolio companies
• Working on ESG DDQs as required by various existing & prospective investors

during Fund 3 fundraise

• Attending ESG related calls / meeting with investors during Fund 3 fundraise
• Quarterly reporting on E&S aspects across the fund and portfolio companies
• Annual reporting on ESG requirements for ESG and Impact focused investors

& any other investor across Fund 2 and 3

• Regular ESG monitoring visits across the portfolio companies in Fund 2 and 3
