About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Lead Geologist to lead geological exploration, modeling, and cross-functional coordination for multiple project sites. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of geo-statistical modeling, resource classification, and international reporting codes, coupled with a strong track record in field activity management and stakeholder communication.

You will be at the forefront of exploring and developing multiple geological clusters (5–10 blocks)- from concept to categorization-ensuring geological models are robust, compliant, and insight-driven.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead geological exploration programs across multiple clusters; oversee design and execution of drilling campaigns and sampling strategies.
  • Develop 3D geological models using Minex software, integrating lithological, structural, and assay data.
  • Apply geo-statistical techniques for resource estimation, classification, and validation.
  • Ensure resource categorization aligns with international reporting standards (e.g., JORC, NI 43-101, UNFC).
  • Prepare detailed geological reports, including interpretations, models, resource statements, and technical justifications.
  • Ensure strong coordination with Head Office on project updates, technical documentation, and approvals.
  • Lead QA/QC programs for geological data collection, logging, sampling, and assay.
  • Oversee and coordinate ground activities and field teams across multiple blocks—ensuring timely execution of exploration plans.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (mining, environment, processing, GIS, land) to align geological data with business objectives.
  • Mentor junior geologists, support resource audits, and contribute to project planning and budgeting.

Requirements:

  • Master's / Bachelor's degree in Geology, Applied Geology, or Earth Sciences.
  • 15–20 years of hands-on experience in mineral exploration, modeling, and geological reporting.
  • Strong command of Minex software (or equivalent 3D geological modeling tools).
  • Proficiency in geo-statistics, resource estimation, and international classification systems (JORC, NI 43-101, UNFC).
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple exploration blocks and teams simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to lead field operations and ensure QA/QC compliance across large-scale programs.
