As AI continues to shape regulated industries, we are expanding our public affairs function to help us stay ahead of emerging regulations, drive informed advocacy, and build relationships with stakeholders across government, industry, and civil society.

Role Overview

As a Public Affairs Specialist (SME) at Scry AI, you will lead strategic initiatives that shape our external voice in policy, regulatory, and industry conversations. You will bring subject matter expertise in public policy, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement to ensure our solutions remain compliant, competitive, and aligned with evolving standards. This role is ideal for someone who understands how to translate technical innovation into compelling policy narratives and collaborative partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

1. Policy & Regulatory Intelligence

• Monitor and analyze policy developments, industry regulations, and legislative trends impacting AI, data privacy, and BFSI sectors.
• Prepare briefing notes, impact analyses, and risk assessments to inform leadership and product teams.
• Identify opportunities for proactive engagement in regulatory discussions and consultations.

2. Stakeholder Engagement & Advocacy

• Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, industry bodies, think tanks, and advocacy groups.
• Represent Scry AI in external forums, industry associations, and public policy discussions.
• Craft position papers, policy responses, and public comments aligned with our business strategy.

3. Strategic Communications

• Collaborate with internal marketing and executive teams to develop messaging on policy-related topics.
• Lead thought leadership efforts, including op-eds, whitepapers, and speaking engagements on responsible AI, data governance, and financial innovation.
• Ensure alignment of public communications with policy positions and corporate values.

4. Internal Enablement & Advisory

• Conduct training sessions and develop knowledge assets to educate internal teams on compliance, policy developments, and reputational risks.
• Work with legal and product teams to support go-to-market strategies in regulated geographies.
• Advise on ESG, sustainability, and public accountability frameworks.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 3+ years of experience in public affairs, government relations, policy research, or strategic communications.
• Deep understanding of public policy frameworks, especially in AI, fintech, or regulated industries.
• Strong writing and analytical skills with experience drafting policy briefs, advocacy documents, or regulatory responses.
• Proven track record in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration.
• Familiarity with BFSI regulations, emerging tech policy, or ESG standards is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
