Our Technical Product Owner is responsible for maximizing product value by defining tech product goals, tech product roadmap, and managing backlog, while working with OPEN Real Time Settlement Tech and our Business stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:
Product Management: Roadmap Planning: Create and maintain the product roadmap for outlining the development timeline and major milestonesBacklog Management: Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that the team is working on features that deliver the most valueWork with tech teams, business users, and business partners to understand requirements. o Lead SCRUM agile ceremonies for the team (story and feature acceptance, sprint planning, progress tracking, sprint retrospective) Technical Expertise: Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry trends to inform product developmentUnderstand complex technical issues and facilitate problem-solving discussionsEnsure the product adheres to technical, security, and regulatory standards Data-Driven Decision Making: Use data and analytics to inform product decisions and measure successEstablish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the product Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between the Real Time Settlement Open Technology team and business stakeholders for your tech productsGather and analyze feedback from stakeholders to inform product decisionsCommunicate progress and challenges to stakeholders at regular intervals Agile and Process Improvement: Champion Agile methodologies and continuous improvement within the tech product team. o Facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups. o Monitor and report on product performance, using data to drive decisions Risk Management and Quality Assurance: Identify and mitigate risks throughout the product development processEnsure quality assurance processes are integrated into product developmentOversee the resolution of technical and customer-facing issues Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field10+ years of experienceExperience and understanding of software development lifecycle and technologiesExtensive experience in product developmentProficiency in Agile methodologies and product management toolsProven excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsProven ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisionsAt UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
