You will ensure system stability, security compliance, and minimal downtime while collaborating with cross-functional teams.Key ResponsibilitiesDB2 ResponsibilitiesAutomate DB2 patching tasks, including fix pack deployment, DB2 CLI commands, and HADR checks.Install, configure, and maintain IBM DB2 databases on AIX and Windows.Perform regular database administration tasks, including backup & recovery.Plan and execute DB2 Fix Packs, Security Updates, and resolve HIPER/APAR fixes.Coordinate patch schedules with Application, Infra, and Change Management teams.Conduct patch testing in Sandbox/Non-Prod environments, including rollback testing.Validate patches post-deployment with application teams.Run vulnerability scans on DB2 servers and map results to fix packs.Monitor DB2 logs, CLI tools, and instance health checks for troubleshooting.Support audit requirements and provide RCA for patch-related incidents.Implement and manage rollback procedures when required.Ensure timely remediation of overdue patches and security compliance.Netezza ResponsibilitiesExecute Netezza patching, firmware updates, and security patches (including ICPDS).Perform remote shell execution, log parsing, and backup automation.Apply firmware and OS patches per CVE and security guidelines.Conduct pre/post-patch health checks: hardware diagnostics, logs, validations.Troubleshoot patch failures (firmware mismatch, script failures).Validate patch success via logs, query tests, and console checks.Use Netezza utilities (nzsql, nzstats) for monitoring and troubleshooting.Implement rollback procedures in case of failed patches.Perform OS-level vulnerability scans and assist in patch-related issue resolution.Maintain documentation, support audits, and deliver RCA.Required Skills & ExperienceHands-on experience with DB2 administration and Netezza patching.Strong understanding of patching procedures, rollback strategies, and remediation workflows.Knowledge of ICPDS patch support and OS-level security tools.Strong scripting skills for automation (shell, remote execution, log parsing).Good understanding of backup and recovery processes.Excellent communication and documentation skills.Important Note (Please Read Before Applying)🚫 Do NOT apply if:✅ Apply ONLY if you meet ALL criteria above.
