Job Title: Linux System AdministratorJob Description:The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux systems. They will ensure the smooth operation of these systems by performing tasks such as server administration, performance monitoring, and resource utilization tracking.Key Responsibilities:Server Administration: Manage and maintain Linux servers, including software updates, patching, and troubleshooting.Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance and optimize resources to ensure maximum efficiency.Resource Utilization Tracking: Track CPU, RAM, disk, and network usage to identify areas for improvement.File System Management & RAID Configuration: Configure and manage file systems and RAID configurations to ensure data integrity and availability.Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) VM Template Management & Deployment: Create and deploy virtual machine templates using VMware or Hyper-V.Active Directory Management (User, Group, Computer Objects): Manage user and group objects in Active Directory.Domain Controller Setup & Troubleshooting: Set up and troubleshoot domain controllers.DNS, DHCP, IIS, SMTP, WINS, DFS Configuration: Configure DNS, DHCP, IIS, SMTP, WINS, and DFS services.Cluster Services Management (NFS, Autofs, NIS, LDAP): Manage cluster services, including NFS, Autofs, NIS, and LDAP.Patch Management (Installation, Rollback, Hotfixes): Install patches, roll back changes, and apply hotfixes.Backup & Recovery Management: Manage backup and recovery processes.Job Scheduling & Crontab Monitoring: Schedule jobs and monitor crontab logs.Environment Variables & Registry Management: Manage environment variables and registry settings.Account Lifecycle Management (Password Vault, Permissions): Manage account lifecycles, including password vaults and permissions.Security & Vulnerability Management: Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.Server Build & Imaging (Physical & Virtual): Build and image physical and virtual servers.Network Configuration & Troubleshooting: Configure and troubleshoot networks.IT Asset & Inventory Management: Manage IT assets and inventory.Qualifications:Candidates should have a strong understanding of Linux systems, networking, and storage technologies.
