Job Title:Enterprise Mainframe Systems ProfessionalAbout the Role:We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Mainframe Systems Professional to join our team. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level system software in IBM mainframe environments.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement system configuration and performance tuning strategies to ensure high availability and optimal performance.Manage system updates, PTFs, APARs using SMP/E, and ensure system stability and compatibility across releases.Monitor and optimize CPU, memory, and I/O performance, tune WLM, Sysplex, and critical components, and conduct capacity planning and recommend hardware upgrades.Administer RACF and enforce security policies, ensure compliance with SOX, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and apply security patches and mitigate vulnerabilities.Manage DFSMS, VSAM, HSM, and storage tools, oversee backups, DR, and high-availability solutions, and optimize disk and tape storage usage.Diagnose and resolve system abends and bottlenecks, analyze dumps, logs, and traces for root cause, and work with IBM support and vendors on complex issues.Develop automation using REXX, JCL, CLIST, Ansible, improve monitoring, job scheduling, and efficiency, automate repetitive tasks to streamline processes, and implement and test DR plans for business continuity.Maintain Parallel Sysplex and failover configurations, maintain technical documentation and best practices, and mentor junior team members and share knowledge.Requirements:Minimum 5 years of experience in z/OS systems programming.Strong knowledge of z/OS and subsystems (JES2, RACF, CICS, DB2, IMS).Experience with SMP/E, WLM, and Sysplex.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
