Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Robotics Field Technician based in Bangalore to support the installation, commissioning, service, and maintenance of robotic and automation systems at client locations. The role involves hands-on work with robotic hardware, troubleshooting in real-world environments, and collaborating with internal and external teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation & Commissioning

  • Install and set up robotic and automation systems at customer sites.
  • Perform system calibration, alignment, and configuration based on deployment requirements.
  • Ensure smooth handover of the system after commissioning.

Service & Maintenance

  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure system uptime and longevity.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
  • Replace or repair defective components, wiring, sensors, motors, actuators, and control modules as needed.

Technical Support & Coordination

  • Collaborate with internal engineering, design, and software teams to resolve field-level issues.
  • Provide feedback to design teams based on real-world performance and customer input.
  • Support debugging efforts during pilot installations and customer trials.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain detailed service logs, installation reports, and issue-tracking documents.
  • Capture and report recurring issues, resolution timelines, and recommended actions.
  • Communicate customer feedback and improvement suggestions to the engineering and product teams.

Training & Safety

  • Train customer staff (operators or maintenance teams) on basic robotic operations, upkeep, and emergency handling.
  • Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards and industry guidelines during field work.
  • Follow proper ESD and grounding protocols when handling sensitive electronics.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education:

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or Robotics.

Experience:

  • 1–3 years of experience in robotics, industrial automation, or machine installation/servicing.
  • Prior experience with AGVs, AMRs, robotic arms, or other autonomous systems is preferred.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Strong hands-on skills in troubleshooting mechanical assemblies, electrical circuits, and control systems.
  • Familiarity with:
  • Motors (BLDC, Stepper, Servo)
  • Sensors (proximity, encoders, LiDAR, ultrasonic, etc.)
  • Wiring and cable management
  • Ability to use tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, crimping tools, and diagnostic software.

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel within Bangalore and occasionally to other cities for installations or support.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (English & Kannada) .
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in high-pressure or time-bound scenarios.
  • Comfort with reading engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and system manuals.
