With a deep commitment to learner success,Unacademy is redefining how India learns — one student at a time.Position: UPSC Academic CounsellorEmployment Type: Full-TimeRole OverviewWe are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Academic Counsellor to join our team and drive studentengagement and enrolment.As an Academic Counsellor, you will play a critical role in helping students make informed decisions about theireducation, guiding them through our offerings, and building strong relationships to ensure satisfaction andretention.Key Responsibilities• Prospect and Lead Generation: Identify and research potential students, clients, and target markets.Generate leads through various channels, including online research, networking, and outreach.Collaborate with local schools and communities.• Student Counselling: Engage with prospective students in-person and over the phone to understand theiracademic background, career objectives, and learning preferences.• Enrolment Assistance: Assist students with the enrolment process, including course selection, feepayment, and registration. Follow up with potential leads and encourage them to join our programs.Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, andother stakeholders. Understand individual needs and recommend appropriate solutions. Provideexceptional service to ensure satisfaction.• Sales and Revenue Growth: Develop and execute strategies to achieve enrollment and revenue targets.Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations to students and parents. Negotiate and close enrollmentseffectively.• Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, student preferences, and competitor activities. Analyzedata to identify new business opportunities.• Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of student interactions, sales activities, andfollow-ups. Prepare regular reports and forecasts for management.• Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, academic, and operations teams to achieve collective goals.Provide feedback to the product and academic teams based on student insights.Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)• Minimum 1 year of proven experience as an Academic Counsellor or in the EdTech/education industry• Strong understanding of education products and services• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment• Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools• Self-motivated with a customer-first mindset and a result-oriented approachWhy Join Us?Join India’s largest and most impactful learning platform where you can lead high-growth centres, shapestudent experiences, and work in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment with opportunities to growinto senior leadership roles
