Role Description

We're seeking an experienced Head of Development (Tech Lead) with deep expertise in C++ and high-performance systems development to lead the technical direction of our core trading infrastructure. This full-time, on-site position in Mumbai will oversee the engineering team, drive technical architecture, and ensure successful delivery of scalable trading technologies.

 What You Will Do
  • Lead development of performance-critical components in C++ (e.g., order matching engine, FIX engine, market data handlers)
  • Architect scalable systems and low-latency, high-throughput trading systems
  • Manage a growing team of C++ developers and software engineers
  • Collaborate with product, QA, and business teams to align tech with strategic goals
  • Review architecture, code, and system design to ensure scalability and reliability
  • Own the full development lifecycle, from planning to deployment and support
  • Optimize system performance and minimize latency through advanced techniques
  • Ensure secure and fault-tolerant design across all modules
  • Lead R&D efforts for new trading technologies and platform enhancements
 What You Bring
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong C++ background
  • 2+ years in a leadership or tech lead role
  • Proven experience building and scaling real-time trading systems
  • Strong understanding of multi-threading, networking, and memory management
  • Familiarity with financial protocols like FIX, FAST, or binary protocols
  • Experience with low-latency databases and message queues is a plus
  • Solid understanding of Linux systems, debugging tools, and profiling
  • Strong grasp of software architecture, performance tuning, and design patterns
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in the financial trading industry is highly preferred
