IT Asset Management Specialist

  • Job Location: Bangalore, ITPB Whitefield
  • Required Experience: 4 Years (Hardware Management)

Job Overview:

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented IT Asset Management Specialist to join our IT team. In this role, you will support the management of the organization's IT assets, ensuring accurate tracking, compliance, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the inventory management of IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses.
  • Maintain and update asset records in the asset management system.
  • Support the procurement process by tracking asset requests and ensuring timely delivery.
    • Conduct regular audits of IT assets to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
    • Collaborate with IT teams to assist in the deployment and disposal of IT assets.
    • Help create and maintain documentation related to asset management processes and procedures.
    • Generate report son asset utilization, compliance, and lifecycle status.
    • Provide support for asset-related inquiries from internal teams and stakeholders.
    • Stay updated on best practicesin IT asset management and industry trends.
    • Understand software asset management principles.
    • Provide excellent customer service for incoming software requests
    • Lead software renewal efforts and identify licenser-harvesting opportunities.
    • Proactively review license availability and consumption statusof software licensing pools and perform reconciliation analysis of IT software contracts.

Technical Experience :

  • Conceptional knowledge of Information Technology.
  • IT Asset Management and Discovery Tools experience (specific experience with Jira ServiceManagement and Tanium a plus).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong understanding of IT asset management principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of team.
  • Familiarity with asset management software or databases is a plus.
