Role Summary:

As a Senior Chartering Manager, you will lead and drive chartering strategies for dry bulk cargo. You will be responsible for securing cargoes, tonnages for long term businesses. To bring in new cargo and ship owners from Handy to Cape sizes. Preferred who has experience in IOR.

Key Responsibilities:


• Independently handle chartering negotiations and fixture closures.


• Build and manage a client portfolio of cargo owners, operators, and brokers globally.


• Lead charter party negotiations ensuring favorable terms and risk mitigation.


• Continuously monitor freight markets and develop strategic insights to drive commercial decisions.


• Coordinate with operations, legal, and finance teams for fixture execution and follow-up.


• Mentor and supervise junior chartering executives as required.


• Prepare weekly and monthly commercial performance reports.


• Represent the company at industry forums, client meetings, and networking events.

Skills & Qualifications:


• 10+ years of experience in dry bulk chartering from an owner/operator or broking background.


• Strong understanding of global dry bulk trade flows, market dynamics, and vessel operations.


• Demonstrated track record of successful fixtures and client management.


• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.


• Proficiency in chartering software and data analysis tools (e.g., IMOS, Baltic Exchange data, etc.).


• Bachelor's degree in Shipping, Maritime Management, or related discipline; MBA is a plus.


• Ability to work independently and manage commercial P&L responsibly.
