Role Linux Admin:Location: Mumbai Experience: 3 Year+Note: only Immediate JoinerRole OverviewThe Linux L2 Administrator provides advanced support for Linux-based systems, handling escalated issues from L1 support and ensuring system stability, security, and performance. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams.Key Responsibilities•System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and related infrastructure.•Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues escalated from L1 support, including OS, hardware, and network problems.•Performance Optimization: Monitor and tune system performance, including kernel parameters and file systems.•Security Management: Implement security patches, perform audits, and ensure compliance with security policies.•High Availability & DR: Design and manage clustering, replication, and backup strategies for business continuity.•Automation: Develop scripts (Bash, Python) for automating routine tasks and configuration management.•Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (network, storage, application) to resolve issues and implement solutions.•Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation and contribute to process improvements.•Escalation Handling: Liaise with L3 support for unresolved or highly complex issues.Required Skills•Strong knowledge of Linux OS (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).•Experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).•Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, KVM) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).•Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python).Sensitivity Label: General•Understanding of monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix).•Knowledge of security hardening and compliance standards.•Hands-on experience with backup and recovery solutions.•Good communication and documentation skills.Qualifications•Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.•Certifications: RHCSA/RHCE preferred; ITIL is a plus.•4+ years of experience in Linux administration or technical support.
