Overview: 

We are seeking a QA Engineer with 2+ years of experience in both Manual and Automation testing to join our remote team in India. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by designing and executing comprehensive test strategies using both manual and automated approaches. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and project managers, to proactively identify issues and ensure seamless product delivery. 

This role involves working with U.S.-based clients, so some overlap in working hours is expected for effective communication and alignment. The ideal candidate is passionate about test automation, quality assurance, and eager to work in a dynamic, fast-paced global environment. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts. 
  • Perform functional, regression, exploratory, usability, and automated testing across web and mobile applications. 
    • Debug and troubleshoot issues found during testing and collaborate with developers to resolve them efficiently. 
    • Use tools like JIRA to ensure that defects are accurately identified, documented, and tracked. 
    • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, testing, and release validation. 
    • Communicate effectively with U.S.-based clients, ensuring timely updates and alignment. 
    • Provide detailed test reports, metrics, and documentation to stakeholders. 
    • Continuously improve QA processes, automation coverage, and adapt to new testing methodologies and tools. 

Desired Skills: 

  • Manual Testing: Strong experience in functional, regression, exploratory, and usability testing. 
  • Automation Testing: Practical experience with tools like Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, or similar frameworks. 
  • API Testing: Familiarity with REST Assured, Postman, JMeter, or similar tools. 
  • Defect Tracking: Proficient with tools like JIRA for issue tracking and reporting. 
  • Test Documentation: Ability to create and manage clear, detailed test cases, plans, and reports. 
  • Environment Knowledge: Comfortable working with both Linux and Windows operating systems. 
  • Database & API Knowledge: Basic understanding of SQL and API request/response structures for validation. 
  • Version Control: Familiarity with Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket. 
  • Analytical & Communication Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with global teams. 

Nice to Have: 

  • Experience in mobile automation testing for Android, iOS, or cross-platform applications. 
  • Working knowledge of CI tools such as Jenkins. 
  • Exposure to cloud testing platforms or performance testing tools. 

Qualification: 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 

2-3 years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on automation testing. 

Experience working with U.S.-based clients and accommodating overlapping working hours. 

Knowledge of testing web and mobile applications across various platforms. 

A collaborative team player with a proactive approach to quality assurance.
