About the role:

  • Develop core versions of software applications for sale to external clients.
  • Identify client purchasing requirements and technical specifications through Product Management and/or client representatives.
  • Interact with engineering groups to assist in design changes to equipment and/or software.

FIS Compliance Suite of products helps firms meet their compliance and regulatory obligations â from providing comprehensive surveillance for insider trading and market manipulation to assisting in supervisory controls and supporting management reporting.

What you will be doing 

You will be a part of the FIS® Compliance Suite (formerly Protegent) next generation product development initiative, joining a team of highly motivated and focused developers to develop our next generation compliance product. You will be joining the product development team as a JAVA developer.  Key technologies would be JAVA, Spring Boot, Angular and SQL. You would be responsible to products development and production issue handling.  You will get an opportunity to work with multiple products and businesses and develop a deep understanding of the interesting world of trading and compliance.

 What you will need : 

Knowledge / Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in designing and developing highly scalable and reliable web applications, preferably in financial services space
  • Expertise on coding and debugging in Java8+, Spring Boot, JPA, Angular technologies
  • Experience on SQL, Rest API, CSS, HTML is mandatory
  • Experience in CI/CD, automated Unit Testing frameworks will be an added advantage
  • Experience developing low latency and high-performance applications
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum model
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated expertise at working with technical and business experts from clients, including traders, compliance users and investment bank
  • Experience analysing and understanding functional requirements
  • Strong problem solving, debugging & analytical skills, ability to work independently with minimum guidance
  • Good team player
  • Self-motivated and self-learner
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership
  • Willingness to work across all areas of product life cycle, from requirements gathering to unit testing and application deployment

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Computers Science or equivalent
