You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the procurement process, from identifying and sourcing materials to negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.

You will play a key role in ensuring on-time and in-full delivery (OTIF) of parts, maintaining optimal stock levels, and achieving cost savings targets.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Procurement and Planning:

- Analyze sales correspondence and prepare technical deviation statements.

- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with production projections shared by Sales.

-Manage projects to improve internal business processes, reduce cycle times, and enhance efficiencies.

- Conduct market research to identify and source new suppliers.

- Prepare detailed Requests for Quotation (RFQs) for each category managed and conduct bidding processes.

- Analyze quotations and prepare comparative statements to select the best suppliers.

Supplier Management:

- Maintain a comprehensive database of qualified and preferred vendors.

- Perform supplier assessments, ERP system setup, site qualification audits, and product validations.

- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best possible pricing and terms.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.

- Monitor supplier performance using key metrics like OTIF and quality.

- Conduct quarterly account reconciliations with the Accounts department.

Operational Procurement:

- Issue purchase orders based on approved requisitions and ensure timely scheduling to suppliers.

-Maintain daily Management Information Systems (MIS) of schedule vs. receipts.

- Track and manage supplier ratings based on performance.

- Follow up on purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.

- Verify and approve supplier invoices for prompt payment processing.

- Coordinate with the warehouse to ensure efficient material delivery according to customer requirements.

- Control non-moving materials at the warehouse and implement strategies to minimize stock.

- Minimize premium freight costs through strategic planning and negotiation.

Inventory Management:

- Maintain part stock levels in accordance with safety stock norms.

- Monitor and analyze inventory data to identify opportunities for optimization.

- Implement strategies to reduce inventory carrying costs while ensuring availability for production.

Managerial Skills:

- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team of procurement professionals.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

- Strong negotiation skills to secure the best possible deals from suppliers.

- Ability to delegate tasks effectively and prioritize workload.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.

- Proactive and results-oriented with a strong work ethic.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).

- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in procurement, with a proven track record of success.

- Experience in managing and developing supplier relationships.

- Strong understanding of procurement principles and best practices.

- Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e. g. , ERP systems).

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
