ORGANISATION: Established charitable institution, over 30 years old, with multiple locations near Mumbai. Big expansion plans, driven completely by societal needs and demand. Recognised for its very successful management on multiple platforms, but mostly by their stakeholders. Who are families of nearly 350 intellectually challenged individuals, requiring lifelong 24-hour support and interventions. Ranging from 18 to 83 years of age. Has around 200 staff. Advisory board comprises of sterling and experienced professionals. Looking for a CEO.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:


- To provide strategic leadership to the organisation, operational oversight, resource mobilization, stakeholder engagement: including donors, government agencies, partner organizations, and the broader community.


- Provide team leadership and management of a diverse team of professionals, including psychologists, therapists, social workers, teachers, and support staff, to deliver high-quality services.


- Compliance and governance: ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines and maintain transparent and accountable governance practices.


- Advocacy and awareness: serve as a passionate advocate for the rights and needs of intellectually disabled individuals, raising awareness and mobilizing support.

HIRING PROFILE: Proven track record of leadership in the relevant social space, with expertise in corporate social responsibility and a deep commitment to serving vulnerable populations. Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field (Social Work, Psychology, Business Administration, etc.) Minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience, preferably in the social sector or related fields. Strong understanding of corporate social responsibility (CSR) principles and practices. Demonstrated track record of successful resource mobilization and fundraising. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Deep empathy and compassion for intellectually disabled individuals and their families. Knowledge of local and national policies and regulations related to disability rights and services. Ideally someone who is familiar with Mumbai/ Western Maharashtra.
