IKEA Services India is one of the Supply Areas for IKEA, which represent South Asia Region comprising of India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh (Supply Area South Asia-SASA). SASA has a rich history of sourcing from the South Asia region for more than four decades. Over these years, we have brought in many processes and best practices that have improved the way we work with our business partners. Transformation of textile, carpet industry and recycle plastic industry are a few such examples. This partnership with suppliers has helped to continuously grow our sourcing operations.

The role of the People & Culture Department is to establish IKEA as the preferred employer by attracting those who share the IKEA values, ensuring development for all co-workers, inspiring them to perform and remain with IKEA by:

Working in partnership with the business staff functionsEnsuring the appropriate HR processes and tools are implementedActively contributing to the growth of business through people

As P&C Generalist, your main tasks are:

Support in attracting, recruiting and maintaining talents based on business needs and facilitating competence flow inside and cross business unitsContribute to build business competence and leadership development by supporting managers and co-workers according to agreed development plansProvide support to co-workers and managers that helps building competence and facilitate career paths and succession planningTo be the local HR speaking partner for one or more business units and work in partnership with relevant global HR partners, supporting implementation of competence part of the relevant global plans.Provide support and advice to co-workers and managers with regards to co-worker relationsContribute to secure and verify HR-related compliance with the labour laws and internal and external regulations. Take actions in case of deviations or improvement potentialSecure good quality relations with local external stakeholdersContribute to the creation and operational implementation of the HR action planContribute to the positioning of IKEA as an attractive place to work and the preferred employer in the relevant marketResponsible for execution of administration connected to People & HR digital tools.Act as a cultural role model in ways that demonstrate the IKEA values
Qualification

You express ideas and opinions effectively - with ability to influence and inspire. 

To be successful in this role, you need to have/be:

5-10 years experience with HR knowledge in one or several HR topics, preferably who has worked as HR Generalist, Specialist or Business PartnerAbility to communicate confidently and clearly with various audiences in English, both verbally and in writing.Sound knowledge in leading on an operational level and contributing on a tactical level.Good knowledge of local employment legislations, co-worker relations and labor market situations and trendsAbility to build trust and relationships through goodCommunication and documentation skillsAbility to coach and transfer knowledgeAbility to support and enable change
