Job Title: Legal Head Location: Mumbai, India Job Description:Seeking an experienced and strategic Legal Head to oversee all legal aspects of the business. The ideal candidate will ensure that our operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and will provide strategic legal advice to support our business objectivesKey Responsibilities:Oversee and manage all legal matters of the company, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, contracts, and litigationProvide expert legal advice and support to the executive team and other departmentsDraft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts and agreementsEnsure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including those specific to the fintech and payment gateway industryManage relationships with external legal counsel and other legal service providersDevelop and implement legal policies and procedures to mitigate risk and ensure legal complianceStay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the companys business and provide training and guidance to employees on legal mattersHandle legal disputes and manage the companys response to litigation and regulatory inquiriesAdvise on strategic transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and partnershipsQualifications:Bachelors degree in Law (LLB). A masters degree in Law (LLM) or equivalent is preferredAdmission to the Bar Council of India8+ years of experience in a legal role, with at least 3 years in a leadership position, preferably in the fintech or financial services industryStrong knowledge of corporate law, regulatory compliance, and contract lawCyber law diploma or degree will be an added advantageDesired Skills:Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsStrong negotiation and communication skillsAbility to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple prioritiesHigh level of integrity and ethical standardsStrong leadership
