Reports to: COO Direct Reportees: 12 to 15

Job purpose:

The Zonal Business Head in Retail is a senior management role responsible for overseeing and driving business operations within a designated geographical zone.

This position demands strategic thinking, leadership, and operational expertise to ensure the successful execution of sales, marketing, and operational objectives in alignment with the company's overall vision and goals.

Strategic Planning: Develop: and implement strategic plans for the assigned zone to achieve sales targets, market expansion, and profitability objectives. Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.

Sales Management: Lead the sales team to drive revenue growth and market penetration.

Set sales targets, monitor performance metrics, and provide guidance and support to ensure targets are met or exceeded. Develop sales strategies, pricing policies, and promotional campaigns to maximize sales opportunities.

Market Development: Identify new business opportunities and potential areas for expansion within the zone. Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including retailers, distributors, and partners, to increase market share and enhance the company's presence in the region.

Operational Excellence: Oversee all operational aspects within the zone, including inventory management, logistics, and customer service. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards to maintain operational efficiency and deliver a seamless customer experience.

Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team by providing coaching, training, and mentorship to develop talent and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Inspire and motivate team members to achieve individual and collective goals.

Financial Management: Manage the financial performance of the zone, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense control. Monitor financial KPIs, analyze variances, and take corrective actions as needed to optimize profitability and resource allocation.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges within the zone and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards to safeguard the company's reputation and mitigate legal and financial liabilities.

Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, providing insights into the zone's performance, market dynamics, and emerging trends. Conduct data analysis and market research to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Education:

- Minimum qualification MBA / PG diploma degree with Marketing / Retail Management specialization.
