Head - Retail Expansion & Marketing

As the Head of Retail and Marketing, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of retail operations for Livspace India business. This includes everything from identifying the right store location, right store format, timely store setup, right levels of merchandising, activating local markets to drive walkins, training and keeping the retail staff updated, insight generation and dashboard maintenance, while delivering a superior and consistent customer experience in a fiscally prudent manner. This is a channel leadership role which has revenue generation accountability.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management and will have lead a team of retail professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Retail Strategy, Planning and Activation:

- Develop and implement effective retail strategies to achieve business goals

- Conduct market analysis and stay abreast of industry trends to identify opportunities for growth.

- Identify and implement tactics to drive walkins to the store/experience centres

Team Leadership:

- Set relevant targets and KPIs for the retail team and ensure they are achieved.

- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing retail team.

- Provide guidance and support to ensure team members achieve their individual and collective targets.

- Streamline and improve retail processes to enhance operational efficiency.

Management:

- Develop and manage the retail budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.

- Monitor financial performance against budget and take corrective actions as needed.

- Implement best practices in retail operations to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

- Manage relationships with key vendors and negotiate favorable terms and agreements.

- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of merchandise.

Reporting and Analysis:

- Prepare regular reports on retail performance, including sales analysis, inventory turnover, and other relevant metrics.

- Utilize data to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.

Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies related to retail operations.

- Implement and enforce loss prevention measures.

Skill and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

- 8+years of proven experience in retail management, with a successful track record in a leadership role.

- Strong understanding of retail operations, sales techniques, and customer service principles.

- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

- Proven ability to drive sales growth and achieve financial targets.

- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- Knowledge of industry trends and a passion for staying updated on market dynamics.

- Familiarity with retail technology and point-of-sale systems
