Senior Manager â  Investment Strategy & Research

Job Overview

We are seeking an ambitious senior investment professional with extensive cross-domain knowledge and global multi asset class exposure for our Investment Strategy and Research team. As a senior member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping strategic investment decisions, overseeing diverse portfolios and offering leadership and mentorship to our multidimensional team, which encompasses portfolio management, portfolio analytics, investment strategy, specialisms and manager research among others.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of investment strategies that leverage cross domain knowledge and global market insights

  • Overseeing diverse investment portfolios across multiple asset classes and geographic regions

  • Providing strong leadership and mentorship to a multidisciplinary investment team, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence and continuous learning

  • Modelling of Fixed income & Equity portfolios using internal & external software

  • Contribute to action-oriented portfolio intelligence research using statistical & factor modelling

  • Develop strategic asset allocation models, risk, and return calibration and portfolio analytics on portfolios of institutional investors

  • Take a leading role towards development of new techniques of portfolio attribution analysis

  • Mentor the juniors in the team to think like a portfolio manager

  • Strong understanding of macro (fixed income/ rates) and systematic factors affecting a portfolio

  • Consistently liaise with stakeholders to understand the clientâs requirements and devise appropriate solutions

                             

Business Requirements

  • Background in portfolio management, construction and advanced econometrics, statistical modelling

  • Proven track record of success in a senior investment role with 7-10 years of experience in global markets and cross-domain investment strategies

  • Strong programming skills in Python with ability to research, self-learn and use complex Python libraries required for developing the quantitative models

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a passion for developing talent and fostering a culture of excellence

  • Global multi asset class exposure with experience in attribution analysis

  • Strong financial instruments knowledge, covering but not limited to fixed income, equities, ETFâs, funds, derivatives, and market indices.

  • Knowledge about standard risk measurement and management metrics used for portfolios.

  • Excellent analytical and investment skills

  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as lead the process to achieve targets in timely order.

  • 7-10 years of work experience in a portfolio management /investment strategies team as a researcher or quant modelers

  • Prior experience in global fiduciary management, asset management with strong understanding of financial instruments

  • BE/B Tech from a top tier college and masterâs in finance/MBA

  • Any progress towards CFA is preferred
