Manager - Institutional Sales - BFSI (5-15 yrs)

Role Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven individual to join our institutional sales team. The Institutional Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with institutional clients, including corporate treasuries.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the mutual fund industry, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a proven track record of driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and expand market share within the institutional client segment.
2. Identify and prospect new institutional clients, leveraging industry contacts and networking opportunities.
3. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing institutional clients, serving as their primary point of contact for all investment-related inquiries.
4. Provide expert guidance and support to institutional clients, including portfolio analysis, investment recommendations, and market insights.
5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including portfolio managers, research analysts, and marketing teams, to deliver tailored investment solutions that meet the unique needs of institutional clients.
6. Stay informed about market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities, and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
7. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and sales pitches to institutional clients, showcasing the value proposition of our investment products and services.
8. Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare regular reports for management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field. MBA or CFA designation preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in institutional sales within the mutual fund industry, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Deep understanding of mutual fund products, financial markets, and investment strategies.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with institutional clients at all levels.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
