Product Manager- Personal Loan (DSA Channel) - NBFC


Job Description: Product Manager - Personal Loan (DSA Channel)

Location: Mumbai

Position Overview: As a Product Manager specializing in Personal Loan products distributed through the DSA channel, this position will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle management of these financial products & primary focus will be on driving the development, enhancement, and profitability of personal loan offerings through the DSA channel. This role requires a deep understanding of consumer lending, market trends, competitor analysis, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

DSA Channel Partnership:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with DSA partners, including banks, non-banking financial institutions, and independent agents.

- Provide support and training to DSAs on product features, sales processes, and compliance requirements to drive business growth and maintain quality standards.

- Work closely with sales teams to develop incentive programs, performance metrics, and monitoring mechanisms to motivate DSAs and achieve sales targets.

Product Development and Enhancement:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, risk management, and technology to conceptualize, develop, and enhance personal loan products tailored for the DSA channel.

- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback surveys to identify product gaps and opportunities for innovation.

- Define product specifications, features, pricing, and positioning strategies to ensure competitive advantage and customer satisfaction.

- Lead the implementation of new product launches, including coordinating with internal stakeholders and providing necessary training to DSAs.

Portfolio Management:

- Monitor the performance of existing personal loan products distributed through the DSA channel, analyzing key metrics such as portfolio growth, delinquency rates, and profitability.

- Develop strategies to optimize the portfolio performance, including product mix adjustments, pricing strategies, and risk mitigation measures.

- Conduct regular portfolio reviews and recommend changes to product features, underwriting criteria, and credit policies based on performance trends and market dynamics.

Reporting and Analysis:

- Prepare regular reports and dashboards to track product performance, sales trends, and key metrics related to personal loans distributed through the DSA channel.

- Conduct in-depth analysis of portfolio data, customer demographics, and market dynamics to identify opportunities for product optimization and growth.

- Present findings and recommendations to senior management, highlighting areas for improvement and strategies for achieving business objectives.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field. MBA or equivalent preferred.

- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in product management, preferably in consumer lending or retail banking.

- Strong understanding of personal loan products, underwriting principles, and regulatory requirements.

- Proven track record of developing and launching successful financial products, preferably through alternative distribution channels such as DSAs.

- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.

- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.

- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
