VP/Director of Global HR Operations (Banking Captive)


Position Overview:

As the Director of Global HR Operations, you will play a pivotal role in leading the development and execution of the GHR target operating model as part of our transformative journey. Reporting directly to the Initiative Lead, you will spearhead the planning, establishment, and optimization of our global service delivery model and support team. Your responsibilities will encompass guiding the offshoring strategy, refining operational processes, fostering effective communication across teams, and providing leadership to ensure successful integration and productivity. This role demands flexibility to engage with stakeholders globally and contribute to the company's objectives across multiple time zones.

Key Responsibilities:

- Act as a subject matter expert on offshoring, advising the Committee and O&O Leads to determine optimal services for offshoring to India, leveraging industry best practices and past experiences.

- Develop and implement operating models, processes, and procedures essential for the seamless transition and sustainability of GHR services and processes in India, while soliciting feedback and approvals from key stakeholders.

- Maintain close coordination with various teams and divisions globally to facilitate the transition process effectively, ensuring smooth operations and monitoring of services migrated to India.

- Prepare and deliver executive-level reports to highlight progress, results, staffing, operational health, risks, and issues, enabling informed decision-making and resolution of key challenges.

- Provide on-the-ground leadership and support to team members, fostering integration within GHR Centers of Expertise teams, and nurturing a culture of inclusivity and productivity.

- Contribute to the recruitment process by participating in interviews and expanding the Global HR team as needed.

- Inspire and empower team members to fulfill their responsibilities, offering guidance, support, and fostering a sense of community and ownership.

- Identify, address, and escalate risks and issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution and mitigate potential setbacks.

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.

- Demonstrated track record of 15+ years in driving offshoring initiatives within global HR organizations, with a focus on building, operationalizing, and managing offshore operations effectively.

- Deep understanding and experience in HR offshoring, coupled with proficiency in HR service delivery models.

- Exceptional collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively while driving progress towards defined objectives.

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to deliver presentations to executive-level audiences.

- Proven experience in managing large-scale global transformations, delivering results within budget and timeline constraints, and mitigating operational risks.

- Proficiency in project management methodologies, with preference given to candidates holding certifications such as PMP.

Technical Skills:

- Analytical and strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities.

- Demonstrated accountability and results orientation, with a proactive and motivated approach.

- Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and drive progress effectively.

- Sound judgement and strong decision-making capabilities.

- Structured and logical approach to work, coupled with attention to detail and accuracy.

- Flexibility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- Expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, and Excel.
