About the team

FIPE3 delivers IT services for CAD applications globally.

It's our responsibility to ensure operation, maintenance and support for all major CAD applications.

Our team is spread across the globe to support engineers in every ZF location worldwide.

 

Main tasks
  • 2nd and 3rd level support for MCAD globally
    • Product Responsible for MCAD application Windchill WGM and CAD tool integrations (Catia V5, UGNX, Autocad).
      • Manage Windchill WGM application and packaging
      • Manage CAD Tool integrations for Windchill WGM
      • Manage CEA Launch integrations for Windchill WGM and CAD tool integrations
    • Product Responsible for MCAD application CAD Workers.
      • Manage CAD Worker servers/installations for each CAD tool type
      • Manage CAD worker queues/publication flow
    • Manage requests/incidents (prioritize, keep track, review)
    • Resolve incidents (contact user, understand the issue, identify root-cause, implement solution/workaround)
    • Coordinate with knowledge experts to create and update knowledge base articles
    • Provide in depth issue resolution for applications under responsibility.
    • Provide development, configuration, and process small orders for applications under responsibility.
    • Coordinate packaging with SCCM team for applications under responsibility.

 

  • Coordination and resolution of MCAD problems globally
    • Identify problems and investigate root-cause
    • Coordinate and consult with other global IT teams/members
    • Inform users, key users, and stakeholders
    • Implement and document solutions

 

  • Local coordination
    • Provide guidance to engineers and engineering management on site and in region (which process to follow, which tool to use, whom to ask)
    • Communicate changes to engineers and engineering management on site/in region
    • Communicate outages, major incidents and problems to engineers and engineering management on site/in region
    • Coordinate local engineering problems and major incidents with global IT teams
    • Provide support for local/in region engineering IT demands

 

Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mechanical CAD/PLM or similar.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the IT field of CAD applications with focus on mechanical  CAD, Preferred “Windchill WGM & CAD Integrations (Catia V5, UGNX, Autocad)”
  • Experience providing customer support and resolution of technical issues
  • Proven analytical abilities in addition to troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • High degree of self-organization and structured way of working
  • Good English language and communication skills.  Multi-lingual advantage (German)
  • ITIL® experience related Information Systems certifications would be an advantage
