Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Vice President of Sales located in Chennai. The Vice President of Sales will oversee the entire sales department and drive the strategic direction for the sales team. Responsibilities include managing sales operations, developing and implementing sales strategies, and ensuring targets are met. The individual will also be responsible for account management, building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, and identifying new business opportunities to drive growth.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

·      Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue and market share objectives.

·      Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competition to identify growth opportunities.

·      Set sales targets, budgets, and KPIs, and track performance against goals.

·      Monitor sales metrics and provide regular reports to senior management.

·      Manage a high-performing sales team.

·      Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance evaluations to ensure team members meet or exceed targets.

·      Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

·      Optimize sales processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

·      Identify new market opportunities and develop market entry strategies.

·      Collaborate with marketing and product teams to adapt offerings to local market needs.

·      Develop and maintain a network of industry contacts and business partners.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent is a plus.

·  12 to 16 years of progressive experience in sales, sales operations, or sales training, with a demonstrated track record of success.

·   Strong understanding of sales methodologies, processes, and best practices.

·   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and influence sales teams at all levels.

·   Ability to travel as needed for in-person training and coaching sessions.
