Assistant Recruitment Adviser supporting UK University

JOB PURPOSE
A leading UK University, is seeking to diversify its international student cohort and this supports the attraction and conversion of prospective international students from a range of agreed growth markets. We are looking for an Assistant Recruitment Adviser supporting our client University in India. The role will be based in Bangalore, India. The primary role of the Assistant Recruitment Adviser will be to work with the existing India team in attracting applicants from India, recruitment of quality students, compliance checks, help in conversions and enrolments for all programs, including India and possibly South Asia. Other responsibilities will include, suggesting marketing ideas, and working with the team in implementing recruitment activities in India, ensuring that the activities are aligned with the University’s
International Student Growth Strategy, annual country plans for the region, and meeting compliance obligations and that the activities are delivered on time, to budget and standard. The position will involve interaction with Indian and international stakeholders. We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven and flexible candidate with recent experience of working in student recruitment.
The post holder must be outcomes and results-oriented, resilient, creative, and innovative. The post will require supporting the India team with travel, including weekends and out of office hours, as and when required and for which flexible working and time in lieu is offered as compensatory off. The role will be required to travel on regular basis.
Main Responsibilities
As Assistant Recruitment Adviser, you will be required to help the India team, and report to the Associate Director in delivering the recruitment strategy in India.
Specifically, you will:
1. Nurture relationships with recruitment agents, including telephone and email communication. Conduct regular visits to approved agent offices in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities across India to interview prospective students and engage with agency staff
2. Support the coordination of student recruitment activities throughout India, including interview programs and education fairs, providing prospective students and other stakeholders with relevant and accurate advice regarding University’s offer
3. Support India team to in planning and delivering conversion activities to increase enrolment into programs offered by UK University
4. Pre-assess applications, conduct compliance interviews and provide recommendations regarding the issuing of an offer of admission using the templates and systems provided by the University, following the guidelines and procedures prescribed by the University
5. Conduct background and financial checks of prospective students, on behalf of the University, to ensure that they meet the entry requirements
6. Provide a monthly activity report of activities undertaken daily and of relevant market updates, as well as produce and interpret student data
7. Support the University’s marketing activities, social media calendar by suggesting content, sharing relevant information on with prospective Indian students, parents, agency counsellors
and other key influencers
8. Assist with distributing relevant marketing activities/promotions as specified by the University
9. Conduct school and institution partner visits to build sustainable relationships with staff and delivering presentations advising high school, college and university students about applying to the University
