Hiring for One of the well-known Buying Agency.


Job Position:-Senior merchandiser

Location:- Gurgaon

Experience:-5-10 Years

Industry-Buying Agency/Export House

Note-Should be from Furnishing Background/ Home Decor-Soft Goods



Job Purpose

To ensure all activities from quoting delivery dates, to proper handover is carried out in effective

manner in order to meet business objective and customer satisfaction through high level of

service.


Responsibilities

Responsible for carrying out research and developments.

 To partner with buyer to work out the fabric, trim, wash details for the next season range

presentation.

 Coordinate with the patterning and develop the final fit of the styles

 Costing and Price negotiation.

 To Keep the buyer updated on the development and provide /enquire on the necessary feedback

 To follow up style selection and comments. Send out preselected & final selected styles grid to all

departments

 Aggressive enough to send all samples on time so that they reach in time for the selection meeting.

 Need to travel for sampling status to factories/sourcing markets.

 Day to day progressing and reporting with the senior.

 Sending weekly progress to buyers. Handling all approval process and maintain records for

buyer protocol.

 Should adhere to SOPs and Company Manuals.

 To co-ordinate and follow-up with production department for samples & production.

 Coordinating with various department for smooth & timely delivery of consigment.

 Need to travel for inspection, for quality control/ assurance.

 Will be responsible for all kind of procurements, coordination with suppliers etc.

 Will be responsible to independently bring garment export enquires/orders.

 Keeping rapport with Buyer and Excecuting team.

 Should have good contact with foreign buyers.

 Monitoring order execution from sampling to final shipment.


 Sample submission/approvals,Trims submission/approval,

 Fit, size-set submission/approval, pre-pro,

 Assist the AMM in day-to-day merchandising activities.

 Update the buyers as well as the vendors with the status at all stages.

 Handling Production - OrderManagement

 Handle the sampling area of the account single handy


Knowledge / Skills and Experience required

Essential

 Fluency in English as well as local language

 Those having through knowledge of textile items.

 Technical knowledge of product with the ability , capability of new product sourcing.

 Experience of working in a fast paced, matrix and multi-cultural environment

 Collaborative approach

 Excellent interpersonal skills & negotiation skills.
