Location: Gurgaon


Experience: Minimum 3 years (Factory and/ or agency experience required)


Availability: Must be able to join within a week or by 01/10/24 at the latest.


Preferred Location: Candidates from Gurgaon preferred.


Preferred Qualifications:

•Graduation from NIFT or PEARL Academy will be highly preferred.

•Educational background in Business Management or Management Studies is a plus.

•Strong understanding of merchandising processes and the garment industry.


About the Role:

As an Assistant Merchandiser at DDBS, you will work closely with experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to the success of our agency. This role offers an exciting opportunity to learn and grow while ensuring the smooth execution of merchandising operations. The right attitude and adherence to office timings are critical for this role.


Key Responsibilities:

Support Merchandising Operations

•Assist in managing and coordinating the entire merchandising process, from concept to delivery.

•Work closely with senior merchandisers to understand client requirements, product specifications, and ensure timely execution.

•Prepare and maintain detailed production schedules to ensure the on-time delivery of orders.

Supplier Relationship Management

•Communicate effectively with suppliers to track order progress and resolve any issues that may arise.

•Support in sourcing factories and assist in negotiating favorable terms.

•Maintain a database of approved factories and assist in evaluating their performance.

Product Development

•Ensure product samples meet quality and design standards, working closely with the team to address any issues.

•Prepare production files and ensure a thorough understanding of buyers’ portals.

•Collaborate with teams to ensure quality control throughout the product lifecycle.

Administrative Tasks

•Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, inventory, and factory information.

•Prepare reports and presentations for internal meetings and client updates.

•Provide administrative support to the merchandising team, ensuring smooth daily operations.


Requirements:

•Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Management, or a related field is preferred.

•Minimum 3 years of experience in the garment industry, with hands-on experience in both factory and agency settings.

•A strong passion for the fashion industry with a desire to learn and grow.

•Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.

•Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on professionalism.

•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).


Additional Information:

•This is a full-time position located in Gurgaon.

•Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience.

•The Assistant Merchandiser will report to the Senior Merchandiser.
