Job Summary: As a trainee you will support the preparation of a variety of baked goods including breads, pastries, cakes, and cookies. This entry-level role is perfect for someone passionate about baking and eager to learn from experienced chefs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and baking of various products such as breads, pastries, cakes, and cookies.
  • Follow recipes under the guidance of experienced chefs and assist in creating new recipes.
  • Ensure the workspace is kept clean and organized.
  • Support the kitchen team in maintaining high-quality standards for all baked goods.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times.
  • Help check the freshness and quality of ingredients.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Minimum of a diploma or degree or equivalent in Baking, Culinary Arts, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Some prior experience in a professional kitchen or bakery environment is desirable, but not mandatory.

Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of baking techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift food items, and work in a fast-paced environment.
