Head of Retail Sales

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven National Sales Head to join our team and lead our company owned retail operations across the country. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in retail management, a proven track record of driving profitability, and exceptional leadership skills. This role requires a strategic thinker who can oversee financial performance, optimize sales, and enhance customer experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Profit and Loss Management:

 

- Oversee and manage the P&L statements of all retail stores.

- Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and minimize costs.

- Analyze financial reports and provide insights to improve financial performance.

 

Sales and Target Setting:

 

- Establish sales targets for each store in alignment with company goals.

- Monitor store performance against targets and implement corrective actions as needed.

- Drive sales initiatives and promotional activities to boost store performance.

 

Inventory Management:

 

- Ensure optimal inventory levels across all stores to meet customer demand while minimizing excess stock.

- Implement effective inventory control procedures.

- Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.

 

 

 

 

Visual Merchandising:

 

- Develop and implement visual merchandising standards to enhance the customer shopping experience.

- Ensure consistency in brand presentation across all retail outlets.

- Collaborate with the marketing team to execute in-store promotions and displays.

 

Hiring and Training:

 

- Oversee the recruitment process for retail staff, ensuring the selection of qualified candidates.

- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and performance of store employees.

- Foster a positive work environment and promote a culture of continuous learning and development.

 

Operational Efficiency:

 

- Ensure smooth and efficient operations of all retail stores.

- Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance.

- Conduct regular store visits to assess operational effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

 

Customer Experience:

 

- Ensure high standards of customer service across all retail stores.

- Address and resolve customer complaints and issues promptly.

- Implement customer feedback mechanisms to continuously improve service quality.

 

 

 

 

 

Reporting and Analysis:

 

- Prepare and present regular reports on store performance, sales trends, and operational issues.

- Utilize data analytics to drive decision-making and strategic planning.

- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.

 

Qualifications:

 

- Masters’ degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in retail operations management, preferably in a national or multi-regional role.

- Strong financial acumen with experience in P&L management.

- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and driving operational efficiency.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

- Willingness to travel extensively across India.
